LALAMOVE provides Driver Partners with Health and Safety Kits in the hopes that it will aid their partners in carrying out their responsibilities during the pandemic
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Lalamove, a platform for on-demand delivery, is improving its services by focusing on the health, safety, and welfare of its driver-partners. The company distributed health kits to driver-partners who play critical roles in the current pandemic situation in order to protect all driver-partners. The distribution of health kits is now entering its second phase and will continue to equip Lalamove driver-partners in carrying out their duties, allowing them to be safer and more protected in serving the needs of the community, particularly in Greater Jakarta and Bandung at this time, while also providing a safer and healthier guarantee.
Andi M. Rizki, City Director of Lalamove Indonesia, admitted that Lalamove is taking this step to ensure service to all of its loyal customers. “With demand for delivery services increasing significantly during the pandemic, Lalamove has taken appropriate measures to safeguard our driver-partners. We are appreciative of the ability to protect all of our driver-partners when they are tasked with providing benefits and protection for the team. This health kit will help ensure the safety of their delivery,” said Andi M. Rizki.
During the implementation of Community Restrictions (PPKM) levels 4 and 3 in Java and Bali, the use of on-demand instant delivery services increased. The growing number of positive COVID-19 cases necessitates the government enacting various restrictions to ensure that instant delivery services remain a viable alternative, not only because they are more convenient, but also because they are safer. According to idxchanel.com (23/08), various logistics service providers reported an increase in goods shipments of up to 30% since the pandemic, including during the current level 4 and level 3 PPKM, and Lalamove reported a 50% increase in orders during the pandemic.
This prompts Lalamove, as one of the leading instant delivery service providers in the Jabodetabek and Bandung areas, taking extra precautions to ensure that driver-partners take better care of their condition and health because they are at the forefront of meeting with consumers and other related parties when carrying out operations. His job is to pick up and deliver packages based on the needs of the customers. Furthermore, according to Lalamove data, 90 percent of active driver-partners have been vaccinated, adding self-protection in maintaining health during the delivery of goods to customers.
“As a result, we believe that by providing driver-partners with health kits, we can improve their performance while also ensuring safer and healthier services for all of our loyal customers,” said Andi.
Responding to community needs during PPKM levels 4 and 3, as well as various other difficulties related to COVID-19, Lalamove provides front-line services, particularly through the Deliver Care initiative, which aims to empower communities and help deliver essential needs such as nutrition packages, medicines, vitamins, and products sanitation to those in need, including those undergoing self-isolation.
Lalamove assisted in reaching delivery needs during this pandemic by providing a variety of delivery vehicles such as motorcycles, MPVs, vans, pickups, pick-up boxes, and also ankle boxes for deliveries of almost any size. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Lalamove’s driver-partners have served the community with dedication and professionalism by distributing medicines through Lalamove’s business partners in the medical field. To meet the needs of self-isolating individuals while adhering to health protocols.
Health kits will be distributed to Lalamove driver-partners in two phases, with each phase reaching all Lalamove driver-partners, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled. The first phase began on July 13, 2021, and will continue gradually until mid-September 2021. The second phase began on August 24, 2021, and will continue gradually until mid-September 2021.
Lalamove’s health kit package for this program includes masks, vitamins, and hand sanitizers, as well as free Lalabags distributed directly to driver-partners. In the first phase, the driver-partners who receive the health kit package are Lalamove driver-partners who deliver and send orders for medicines from various pharmacies throughout Jakarta and Bandung to meet community needs.
“At all times, Lalamove takes precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our drivers and customers. We will continue to collaborate closely with the community and all of our driver-partners in order to provide the best service possible during this trying time. Let us also pray that this pandemic will end soon so that we can resume normal economic activity,” concluded Andi.
