Heaptalk, Jakarta — The parent company of Investree startup, Investree Singapore Pte Ltd (Investree Group), announced to the completion of Series D round at US$231 million or Rp3.6 trillion, through the joint venture establishment in Doha, Qatar.
In this strategic investment, JTA International Holding leads the funding round, followed by its existing investors in Series B and C rounds, SBI Holdings. Prior to this round, the fintech lending startup had bagged a Series C funding at US$23.5 million from MUFG Innovation Partners and BRI Ventures.
The President Director and Co-Founder of Investree, Adrian Gunadi stated that the fresh funds will assist the company to broaden its product and service and strengthen strategic partnerships with diverse partners in providing digital financing services more easily for Indonesia’s MSMEs. He also claimed that building JTA Investree Doha indicated a shared vision with JTA Investment Holding to continue expanding digital MSME lending technology.
For information, JTA International Holding and Investree established a joint venture company, JTA Investree Doha Consultancy, to offer loans to MSMEs with artificial intelligence (AI) based credit assessment services. This company would become Investree’s headquarters in the Middle East market, providing made in Indonesia technology to empower MSMEs in Qatar, the Middle East, and East Asia.
“We can say that the joint venture of Investree, together with JTA International Holding, has been fully established and officially approved by Qatar’s government. This development process has taken quite a long time due to several stages which we must follow and comply with following this country’s regulations,” affirmed CEO Adrian.
Founded in 2015 in Jakarta, Investree aims to grant digital financing services devoted to Indonesian MSMEs, specifically for those still lacking digital loan access. In fulfilling their necessities, this fintech startup provides four loan products, spanning:
- Invoice Financing for MSME, providing services to large companies with invoices for payment.
- Working Capital Term Loan (WCTL) for MSMEs with a peculiar business model.
- Buyer Financing for MSMEs as retail buyers at wholesalers.
- Micro Business Loans for ultra micro-entrepreneurs from the partner in the Investree ecosystem.
Since its establishment, Investree Indonesia has channeled digital loans worth US$896 million (around Rp13.97 trillion) per October 2023. Regarding the newest investment round, the company revealed that Investree’s Series D funds remain in the process and will be finalized soon.
