Heaptalk, Jakarta — East Kutai regency will distribute aid of Rp50 million or nearly USD3,300 (USD1 equals Rp15,233) to every neighborhood unit (RT) to promote society’s wealth.
In optimizing the distribution process of the aid, East Kutai government, through Village and Community Empowerment Office (DPMDes), held socialization regarding the implementation of the assistance usage on Monday (03/10). The agenda was attended by the head of Regional Representative Council Joni, and also subdistrict heads, and village secretaries.
“This assistance that attains Rp 50 million per RT will be channeled to enhance society’s economy. The budget will be disbursed shortly,” stated East Kutai Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman (03/10).
In terms of the budget allocation, Ardiansyah added that 20% of the relief, or Rp10 million, will be a non-physical aid that aims to develop human resources while the rest, or Rp40 million, will be a ‘physical’ relief. In an effort to optimize this assistance, each neighborhood unit should have a clear working program that is adjusted to the budget allocation.
Ardiansyah stated that this measure is concrete support from the local government to promote village development, embarking at the neighborhood level.
“This program is the manifestation of East Kutai Government’s commitment to put our attention on developing our society’s economy, we deliver the aid directly to the neighborhood unit. I hope the assistance will be organized-well and not get off the track,” stated Ardiansyah.
The Chief of DPMDes, Yuriansyah stated that the goal of this socialization program is to make the Village head and neighborhood unit head understand the aid distribution process, starting from the planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluation. By delivering the assistance, the local government intends to improve grass root’s economy to create advanced, independent, prosperous villages.
In more detail, Yuriansyah conveyed that the relief will be disbursed gradually, and the number will be adjusted to the neighborhood’s activity. Yuriansyah also invites people to involve in this agenda to deliver innovative ideas that can bring a positive impact to their village.
