Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government conducted a coordination meeting, generally known as a Coffee Morning, on Monday (10/03).
The discussion was led by Vice-Regent Kasmidi Bulang and accompanied by Assistant for Public Administration and People’s Welfare, Poniso Suryo Renggono, Assistant for Economics and Development, Zubair, and Assistant for General Administration, Jamiatul Khair Daik. Several leaders of the Regional Apparatus (PD) in the East Kutai Regency Government and all Sub-District Heads in East Kutai also attend the meeting.
On the meeting occasion, Kasmidi conveyed several critical instructions of the President of Indonesia, Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo, related to regional inflation restraint, an affirmation of the Proud Made in Indonesia program follow-up, and the Target the Acceleration of the Eradication of Extreme Poverty (P3KE).
Regarding the regional inflation management issue, this East Kutai Vice-Regent affirmed that the regional entity could further improve the potential regional aspects. In addition, he also looks forward to Indonesia’s Tourism Agency organizing the tourism destination development programs sooner to make the tourism sector in Indonesia to be more focused.
Besides building a better tourism sector in Indonesia, Kasmidi stated the program hoped to present multiple activities to enhance the national economy. On the other hand, he revealed additional points related to allocating 2% of the General Allocation Fund (DAU). The Vice-Regent Kasmidi suggested several Regional Apparatus (PD) execute the matter immediately.
Related to the poverty data in East Kutai, Kasmidi asked the related PDs to coordinate with sub-districts and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to carry out data collection and mapping. He expects to establish detailed data about the region’s poverty through the activity.
Based on Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS) of the East Kutai Social Service, people categorized as extreme poverty attained 11,802 heads of household (KK), or approximately 55,301 people spread across East Kutai’s sub-districts.
“The data comes from the central government. However, we perceive several parties disagree with this report. The data is collected as many people who received Unconditional Cash Transfers (BLT) were automatically recorded in the central government as an under-poverty community. Even though the recipients are uncategorized as impoverished people,” He added.
For this reason, implementing the one data By Name By Address is a crucial scheme to determine the under-poverty society category, aligned with the criteria and can be accounted for. Kasmidi claimed the regional entity could utilize the one data to overcome the poverty issues among people.
