By this additional capital, Grouu will diversify its product, including packaging product development specifically designed to fulfill children’s nutrition. The Founding Partner of Teja Ventures, Virginia Tan, observes high potential related to the mother and children progress in Southeast Asia, with the food market for babies value reaching US$9.48 billion in 2023. He also revealed that the value is estimated to increase YoY to 5.38% by 2028.

“We comprehend the importance of nutrition for families, and we fully support Grouu’s vision to become a market leader in nutritional needs for children and their efforts to build an exclusive platform that meets the changing needs and expectations of young parents in Indonesia,” added Virginia.

The company claims its products are made with quality ingredients without additional preservatives, colorings, and flavor enhancers, including salt and sugar. Besides providing non-monosodium Glutamate (MSG) products, this startup grants healthy packaged snack products for children and nutritional food catering subscription services for mothers and children.

Established in 2020, Grouu delivers daily baby food catering services directly to consumers’ homes. In 2021, Grouu served over 200,000 portions of weaning foods and obtained a Health Certificate (SLS) from the DKI Jakarta Public Health Office.
