Heaptalk, Jakarta — An early-stage venture capital firm, AC Ventures (ACV), has launched its education platform for technology entrepreneurs in emerging markets, the ACV Academy. This training platform is free-to-access, expecting to elevate the early-stage tech company expertise in Southeast Asia to a new level of know-how.
ACV has embarked on a bold objective to provide hands-on guidance and bolster its company portfolio across Indonesia in 2022. This venture capital firm is the only tech investment firm in the archipelago to offer a full-fledged value-creation apparatus to the companies it invests in. The underlying idea is that if ACV can help its portfolio companies achieve operational excellence from their early days, they can then go on to achieve tremendous success in the market.

With a straightforward ethos of Exponential Education, the launch of ACV Academy seeks to help more tech startups in the region achieve early traction and scale after that. As part of the education platform launch, the venture firm also unveiled its debut module, a playbook for founders entitled Refining Recruitment for Startups. This book issuance is a part of the collaboration with the global management consulting and executive search firm Egon Zehnder.
According to this VC firm, running an early-stage company is challenging, and discovering the best-fit talents is one of the biggest hurdles, specifically in the emerging market. This playbook is created as a roadmap for startup founders to educate themselves on how a hiring process holistically.
This module contains five fruitful topics: Preparation, Start the Search, Make the Decision, Onboarding, and Ongoing Engagement via Team Building. The team also features engaging anecdotes and testimonials from several of ACV’s portfolio company founders in this new guideline.
