Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor has launched the latest Maxi Yamaha product category, namely XMAX Connected, in the Indonesia Motor Show (IMOS) 2022, held at Jakarta Convention Center (10/02).
The launch of the newest motorcycle is to fulfill a high consumer’s nobility for the premium scooter category with the upgraded specification in terms of its design, feature, and technology.
“We are pleased to introduce our novel two-wheel product for the Maxi Yamaha category in the motorcycle market. This new model is specially developed to provide a better motorcycle riding life for those who want to advance. By proffering the premium design and the advanced machine performance, we aim to realize our vision to establish a new standard in the MAXI category with the presence of a TFT screen and navigation function, generally called the Navigate to the MAX,” Affirmed the President Director and CEO of Yamaha Indonesia, Minoru Morimoto.
The primary transformation of the XMAX design can be noticed on the front of the lamp side with more iconic, modern, and sporty. Besides its design, the entire lighting system has improved with the LED adoption, including the hazard lamp portion.
The superior features that were previously embedded in the XMAX are also still being furnished to support consumer driving activities, including the Smart Key System feature without keys equipped with an Answer Back System for practicality in finding a motorbike parking location, Electric Power Socket for charging smartphone batteries, setting the windshield and also the steering handlebar, a relaxed driving position with a wide footrest, and a spacious trunk with a capacity of 44.9 liters, equipped with LED lighting to store various driving equipment for its users.
In addition, the Y-Connect application is also augmented in this scooter as the connectivity feature. With the presence of this technology, users can obtain fruitful information related to motorcycle maintenance, Oil Fuel consumption, last parking location, malfunction warning, riding history, and mileage rank.
Regardless of the Y-Connect feature, this XMAX motorcycle sophistication also comes from the TFT Infotainment Display system, enabling riders to gain multiple information and entertainment, including the weather forecast, motorcycle condition, phone and message notifications with a complete view, control panel to play rider’s favorite music.
On the other hand, these latest XMAX generations are also equipped with the Navigation System to simplify the customers in exploring new destinations. This feature can be operated with the Garmin Street Cross application assistance, appearing through the TFT Infotainment Display.
In the pacemaker sector, XMAX Connected relies on a BLUE CORE engine with a capacity of 250 CC, equipped with Liquid Cooled, SOHC, and 4 Valves, proven as reliable and robust in dealing with various road conditions. This machine can produce a maximum power of up to 16.8kW/7,000 rpm and maximum torque of up to 24.3 Nm/5,500 rpm, allowing ameliorated acceleration during riding activity. This product also provides a large gasoline tank of up to 13 liters to support a high exploring power.
The new Maxi category is also embedded with safety features, covering the Traction Control System (TCS) to minimize the occurrence of tires losing traction when accelerating on slippery road surfaces and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to avert the tire wheels from locking when the driver performed hard braking.
XMAX Connected is launched with four color types devoted to riders in Indonesia, spanning Dark Petrol, Luxury Red, Premium Black, and Prestige Grey. This premium scooter would also be priced at USD4,220 or equal to Rp66,000,000 OTR Jakarta.
