Teaming up with Agoda, Wise Platform presents payment options for travelers

Agoda embeds Wise Platform’s global payments network through its easy-to-use APIs, providing faster, lower-cost, and more transparent international payments.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — Payment company Wise Platform collaborates with digital travel platform Agoda to bring faster and more convenient payment options for global travelers.

Through the collaboration, Agoda embeds Wise’s global payments network through its easy-to-use APIs, enabling customers around the world to take advantage of faster, lower-cost, and more transparent international payments directly from the Agoda platform. Additionally, Agoda’s customers can earn cashback directly into their local bank accounts with only a few clicks within the app.

According to the Chief Financial Officer at Agoda Mai-Linh Bui, today’s travelers are looking for speed and convenience at every step of their journey, and payments are no exception.

“With Wise Platform’s expertise in cross-border payments, we are able to offer travelers more flexibility and choice in their payment experience. This partnership is another step forward in our continued efforts to provide a high-quality and rewarding travel experience for customers worldwide,” said Bui in the company’s official statement (11/10).

Bolstering cross-border payment options

Meanwhile, Managing Director at Wise Platform Steve Naude stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Agoda, a digital travel platform that is dedicated to transforming travel for customers across the globe.”

Naude emphasized that this partnership is a testament to Wise Platform’s continued momentum in Asia Pacific, as the platform expands partnerships to bolster cross-border payment options for businesses and consumers in this sector. “Together with Agoda, we aim to offer innovative solutions that not only empower travelers but also elevate their overall travel experience to greater heights,” he added.

Founded in 2011, Wise Platform currently provides financial services to more than 70 partners in 18 countries. The services cover up to 40 currencies with 70 countries via local channels and 160 countries via SWIFT.

Agoda has been operating since 2005 and is now spread across over 200 countries/territories. It offers approximately 3.9 million hotels and homes worldwide. The platform opens its services in 31 markets with 39 languages.
