Heaptalk, Jakarta — To enhance sustainable tourism in Indonesia’s Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP), Sarinah has collaborated with InJourney Hospitality and InJourney Airports to deliver the InJourney Hospitality House (IHH) training, specifically Batches V and VI.
The training in Labuan Bajo aims to foster world-class hospitality rooted in Indonesia’s unique cultural values. It features four main modules, one focusing on hospitality communication skills—a fundamental element of excellent service with an Indonesian touch.
“As part of InJourney Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, this training equips local tourism practitioners with insights and skills. Batch V was held at the Batu Cermin Integrated Business Service Center and involved 35 participants from various professions, including MSME operators, homestay owners, tour guides, and fishermen. Meanwhile, Batch VI took place at the Rinca Village Hall in Pasir Panjang, with 55 participants,” explained M. Yaser Khalex, Corporate Secretary Group Head of PT Sarinah, in a written press release on Tuesday (12/03).

Yaser emphasized the importance of this training in advancing Sarinah’s mission to develop a tourism ecosystem driven by MSMEs. Sarinah views this collaboration as a strategic move to strengthen the creative economy’s potential while boosting Indonesia’s competitiveness on the global stage. Sarinah is committed to making tourism a driving force for regional economic growth by involving MSMEs and local communities.
The training also highlighted the significance of exceptional service. Arie Ahsanurrohim, Corporate Secretary Group Head of InJourney Airports, expressed hope that the InJourney Hospitality House program would benefit local tourism practitioners by introducing Indonesia’s signature hospitality to the world, positively impacting tourism growth. “In terms of hospitality, InJourney Airports is also transforming to become more customer-oriented, prioritizing top-notch service and Indonesian hospitality for all travelers,” he said.
Amalia Yaksa Parijata, Corporate Secretary of InJourney Hospitality, underscored that the training marks a critical moment for improving the quality and capabilities of tourism operators. “As one of the Priority Tourism Destinations, Labuan Bajo tourism practitioners are expected to showcase their hospitality to domestic and international visitors. We hope this training will continuously improve the quality, competence, and skills of tourism actors, contributing positively to the development of Labuan Bajo’s tourism ecosystem and economy,” she concluded.
