Indosat introduces Tri Ibadah, usable in 8 Middle Eastern countries

Heaptalk, Jakarta – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH), through its brand Tri, has introduced “Tri Ibadah” — a communication solution aiming to supporting a smooth Umrah and Hajj journey in 2025. This product can be used in eight Middle Eastern countries: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Turkey, and Israel, as well as four transit countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Oman, and India.

As the number of Indonesian pilgrims continues to grow, the need for stable and accessible communication services becomes increasingly vital. According to Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, over 1,467,005 Indonesians performed Umrah in 2024 — the highest figure in the past three years. Additionally, Indonesia has received the largest Hajj quota in the world, with 221,000 pilgrims allocated for both 2024 and 2025. These figures underscore the importance of seamless communication access, allowing pilgrims to focus on their worship without technical disruptions.

During Umrah and Hajj, many pilgrims face communication challenges, including language barriers, losing contact with their group, difficulty accessing important information, or staying in touch with family back home. These issues can disrupt the peace and solemnity of their pilgrimage. Tri Ibadah is designed to address these concerns by offering strong network connectivity for data services like video calls, voice calls, and SMS, ensuring pilgrims remain connected in real-time with their loved ones.

Ritesh Kumar Singh, Director and Chief Commercial Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, stated, “Through Tri Ibadah, we aim to deliver a communication solution that is not only affordable but also reliable and tailored to our customers’ needs. With the support of our international network, pilgrims can worship in peace, without worrying about connectivity issues when reaching out to their families back in Indonesia.”

Tri Ibadah offers a range of packages. For Umrah, customers can choose a 6GB package with an additional 1GB domestic quota, including 15 minutes of calls and 15 SMS, valid for 12 days at IDR 250,000. Alternatively, they can opt for a 14GB package with a 1GB domestic quota, 45 minutes of calls, and 45 SMS, valid for 15 days at IDR 350,000.

For the longer Hajj period, Tri provides a 19GB package with a 1GB domestic quota, 100 minutes of calls, and 100 SMS, valid for 30 days at IDR 650,000, or a 24GB package with a 1GB domestic quota, 120 minutes of calls, and 120 SMS, valid for 45 days at IDR 750,000. These packages are designed to offer convenience and flexibility, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free experience for all pilgrims. To enjoy this service, customers can easily purchase Tri Ibadah through the bima+ app, USSD *899#, or Tri Official WhatsApp at 0899-9800-123.
