Heaptalk, Jakarta — Gojek, an Indonesian ride-hailing and delivery company, will withdraw operations from the Vietnam market on September 16th, 2024.
Gojek’s parent company, GoTo, decided to exit Vietnam after assessing its market presence. The move aims to enhance business operations and aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy, as reported by TechNode Global.
This step includes terminating GoRide, GoFood, and GoSend services. “Our last day of accepting orders will be 16th September 2024. GoSend orders will end on 4th September 2024,” Gojek stated on its official page.
According to the company, users can report any order issue through the app’s help center within three days of the order completion date. Users in Vietnam can still access and download order history from the app after the last day of operation in the country.

Gojek added, “Your data will be treated in accordance with our strict data retention policies and prevailing laws. If you have any other queries, please reach out to Customer Service which will be operating until 30th of September 2024.”
The announcement to terminate operations in Vietnam came nearly a year after the company expanded its business in several cities neighboring Ho Chi Minh City. In October 2023, TechNode Global reported that Gojek expanded to Di An, Thuan An, and Thu Dau Mot in Binh Duong Province and Bien Hoa in Dong Nai Province.
Gojek began its services in Vietnam in 2018 under the brand GoViet. Since 2020, GoViet has been united under the more extensive Gojek umbrella, aiming to innovate at scale and create more integrated services for life’s everyday issues.
