Heaptalk, Bogor — Bolt, Indonesia’s pet food producer, drives cat welfare by supporting around 50 cat shelters around Java and outer Java routinely. As a concrete action, the CPPetindo’s cat food brand held a shelter visit for media at Rumah Kucing Parung (means: Parung Cat Shelter) Bogor on Monday (12/16). In the agenda, the participants were able to interact directly with the cats while obtaining insight about how to maintain the cat’s health. Bolt also continues to support the shelter by donating cat food regularly.

“We started this program in 2018, and Rumah Kucing Parung was one of the first cat shelters we helped. Throughout 2024. We also donated to over 50 shelters,” stated Wilda Novayana, Brand Manager CPPETINDO, at the press conference at Kopi Kenangan Parung.

For information, Rumah Kucing Parung is home to around 800 non-proprietary cats, dominated by domestic cats, both adult cats and kittens (kittens). Founded by Dita Agusta, Rumah Kucing Parung routinely provides comprehensive care, including vaccination, sterilization, and nutritious food, to ensure the cat’s health. The consistency of BOLT in providing nutritious food really helps Rumah Kucing Parung continue to carry out operational activities.

“BOLT donation for Parung Cat Shelter is very meaningful in helping us provide optimal nutrition for hundreds of cats that we take care of. BOLT is also a favorite food for cats in shelters because of its attractive aroma and taste that fits the cat’s tongue. BOLT’s concern for the welfare of cats has given hope to many abandoned cats,” said Dita Agusta, Founder of Rumah Kucing Parung.

In addition to donating cat food, Wilda stated that Bolt has supported cats’ welfare through various agendas, such as free vaccines, free sterilization, health checks for cats, and more.

“We realize that cat’s population grows exponentially, so we carried out this program. We realize that it is not only about business, but we have to concern about cat’s welfare and have responsibility to realize it,” voiced Wilda.

Prior to this agenda, Bolt also donated to about 250 cats in North Jakarta. The brand routinely educates people about how to care for cats through social media and offline activities to increase their literacy. Organizing these activities, Bolt collaborates with numerous pet lover communities, pet owners, pet shops, street feeders, and pet shelters.
