Heaptalk, Jakarta — Veronica Tan, the former wife of Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, was summoned by President-elect Prabowo Subianto to his residence on Kertanegara Street, South Jakarta, on Monday (10/14). Veronica’s visit coincided with the summoning of several figures rumored to join Prabowo Subianto’s cabinet in the upcoming period.
She mentioned that the meeting discussed aiding the community, especially for mothers and children. “Together, we will help the community, mothers, and children. So I said, ‘Yes, I’m ready, Sir,’” Veronica explained.
Veronica Tan stated that further announcements would need to wait for Prabowo’s inauguration as President of Indonesia. However, she hopes to contribute to the well-being of the people, regardless of where she is placed.
Prabowo has confirmed that several figures were summoned to his home to discuss potential cabinet appointments in his upcoming government. He assured that the candidates for ministers, deputy ministers, and agency heads he called could fulfill their duties in the cabinet.
This has strengthened speculation that Veronica Tan might join Prabowo’s cabinet as a ministerial candidate. Prabowo explained that he had been observing the ministerial candidates for some time, holding discussions, and conveying his wishes to relevant parties to fill positions as ministers, deputy ministers, and agency heads in his cabinet.
“Before I invited them here, they had already expressed willingness to help me. Today was just a confirmation. I confirmed and ensured they would help me in the areas I had offered them. Thankfully, all of them said they were ready,” Prabowo explained during a press conference in front of his residence on Monday (10/14).
