Heaptalk, Jakarta — After conducting state visits to two countries, India and Malaysia, President Prabowo Subianto held a press conference on Monday (01/27). The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the countries.
Prabowo stated that the countries’ leaders agreed to strengthen the partnership between Indonesia and India in multiple sectors, including trade, investment, tourism, energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and infrastructure.
“We are opening our economy to investment participation in the infrastructure sector, and we invite India to take part in Indonesia’s infrastructure programs in all fields,” said President Prabowo.
Following his visit to India, the Head of State continued his series of state visits to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During the warm meeting, President Prabowo and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim committed to enhancing synergy between the two fraternal countries. President Prabowo, in his press statement with Prime Minister Anwar, emphasized the importance of the special relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia.
“We have historical ties, blood ties, cultural ties, and even ethnic ties. If I’m not mistaken, many Malaysian leaders still have family in Indonesia. There are so many connections. Hence, I feel that this should make the relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia more unique,” he concluded.
Earlier, President Prabowo Subianto and his limited entourage took off from the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base in Subang at around 18:25 local time, marking the end of the visits to strengthen bilateral relations.
