“The trees planted not only work to provide oxygen, but also to absorb air pollution and improve air quality in general. Through this agenda, Trinseo is committed to create positive contributions for environment sustainability, suitable for company values that put sustainability as the core of their business activities,” explained Hanggara Sukandar, CEO of PT Trinseo Materials Indonesia when asked for greetings speech.

Adding Hanggara’s statement, Dony Wahyudi, Director of PT Trinseo Materials explained that 15 trees have been planted at Said Park. “Previously, we have done a tree plantation agenda in Merak specifically at our office, the total of the trees reached thousand sprouts,” Dony stated.

Hanggara also said, this agenda is a continuation from its previous activity in 2017. “And surely it involved the government, citizens, as well as students. Our goal is to become a solid foundation in terms of environmental conservation,” said Hanggara.

On the other hand, Herlina Merinda, Head of the Green Belt Division Parks and Urban Forest Service of DKI Jakarta welcomed this collaboration in a positive light. She perceived this action would be very helpful for increasing open space areas in Jakarta.

“With the right coordination and cooperation PLN as The Epicentrum for Energy Startups with the private sectors, this approach could reach its optimum in terms of expanding the green distribution area here in Jakarta,” Herlina stated.

Herlina also said, the Department of Parks and City Forests of DKI Jakarta (Distamhut) recorded that 65.819 trees have been planted in the period of October 2022 to July 2023. Tens of thousands of these trees consist of protective and productive trees.
