The purpose of this competition is to expand the scope of quality services, primarily in the empowerment of family welfare and family planning programs.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Population Control and Family Planning Department (DPPKB) together with the Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) Mobilization Team and related regional officials held a preparatory meeting for the competition of the PKK Movement Unity namely Bangga Kencana Kesehatan 2023 which took place in the DPPKB Meeting Room (06/27).
Bangga Kencana stands for pembangunan keluarga, kependudukan, dan keluarga berencana which translates to family development, population, and family planning. This is one of the flagship programs of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) in an effort to make the family the backbone of development and focus on creating quality families.
Head of Counseling and Movement Division, East Kutai Population Control and Family Planning Department, Rini Indarti, said that this meeting aims to align perceptions by inviting all regional apparatuses and related stakeholders.
“Here we are following up on a letter from the Head of BKKBN Representative for East Kalimantan Province regarding the competition. This activity has become our routine. Therefore, we will be flexible. Please submit suggestions related to the implementation of this activity, “said Rini.
The Unity of PKK Movement through Bangga Kencana Kesehatan is an intensification of the role of the organization in the family planning and health development programs which are carried out in an integrated manner involving various parties across sectors, both formal and non-formal. The purpose of this activity is to expand the scope of quality services, primarily in the empowerment of family welfare and family planning programs.
Meanwhile, the leader of the East Kutai PKK Mobilization Team, Siti Robiah Ardiansyah, proposed several innovations in providing quality services, particularly through family welfare and family planning empowerment programs. One of the innovations is in the form of making additional food for toddlers at the Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) according to their age.
Siti Robiah said, “Providing toddler food according to age. That is one innovation that can be considered as usually we only serve porridge.” Further, she hopes that the selected family planning locus will give their best to represent this year’s competition.
“Let us collaborate to increase motivation and guidance to cadres, field staff, and the PKK Mobilization Team in achieving the PKK Bangga Kencana Kesehatan target,” she concluded.
