Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Acting Regent of Tangerang, Andi Ony, attended the 16th Apkasi National Working Meeting opening ceremony at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Wednesday (07/10). This event is held alongside the Apkasi Otonomi Expo and Procurement Network 2024.
Regent Andi also visited the Tangerang Regency booth at the exhibition. According to him, the culinary, craft, and fashion sectors in Tangerang Regency have very stable growth and significantly contribute to economic growth, in addition to regional taxes and retributions.
“In real terms, the culinary sector contributes 51% to the economy, and the craft and fashion sectors contribute 23%. We want to increase the fashion and craft sectors, such as batik and hat crafts, at this Apkasi Expo,” Andi said in Jakarta (10/07).
The Tangerang Regency Government booth at the Apkasi Otonomi Expo 2024 is filled by the Cooperatives and SMEs Office, the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), the Industry Office, and the Economic and Development Division. He stated, “We are committed to continuously developing and enhancing all the potential we have, as per the directions of the President earlier, to strengthen regional and national economies.”
Furthermore, he urged all the people of Tangerang Regency to continue supporting the strengthening and development of local potential and improving the quality of the products produced. “I invite all residents to visit the Tangerang Regency booth. Tangerang is getting brighter. Let’s support our local products, which are no less competitive than other regions,” Andi added.
Meanwhile, in his opening remarks, President Jokowi emphasized that future challenges are increasingly complex and complicated. Therefore, each regency and city must innovate as adaptively as possible to make them develop, and inflation rates continue to be controlled. “Regional potential must be developed as adaptively as possible in terms of finance, food, energy, industry, technology, and tourism, all of which must be developed to generate regional income,” he said.
In addition, each regency/city must also scale up the use of domestic products, which currently stands at around 41%. “I remind you to buy our own products and use 100% of domestic products to procure goods and services,” Jokowi concluded.
