The speakers presented were representatives of the East Kutai Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) and CV Beesoft Research & Technology (Britech).
Commencing the activity, Assistant for Governance and People’s Welfare at the East Kutai Regency Secretariat Poniso said that the government had issued Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2019 on Indonesia One Data, known as SDI which is based on the need for valid and accountable data for both local governments and the community.
Poniso said, “The existence of SDI is intended to improve data governance as it is implemented in the regions. The existence of the Indonesia One Data policy is expected to produce data that is accurate, up-to-date, integrated, accountable, and easily accessible.”
According to Poniso, digital transformation provides opportunities and challenges for the government, particularly in making data-based policies. The development of information technology assists the bureaucracy to work more effectively and efficiently.
In addition, the implementation of this technology can also facilitate the government and the public to access the necessary data. The availability of complete, accurate, and easily accessible data is one of the main components in supporting regional development. Utilization of quality data at the right time in determining policies by government agencies is considerably needed in planning, implementing, controlling, and evaluating development.
“Thus, ease of accessing data, sharing between electronic systems, and fulfilling the Indonesia One Data principle for each data presented is absolutely necessary,” he voiced.
Further, Poniso emphasized that Indonesia One Data in East Kutai Regency is the key to improving data governance to sharpen development strategy and focus. This effort certainly cannot be separated from the support and contribution of all regional apparatus.
