According to Head of Diskominfotik Mujianto, Blitar Govt is included in the top five cities in Indonesia that apply digital leadership initiated by Askompsi.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The City Government of Blitar through the Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Departments (Diskominfotik) seeks to advance the government system and public services in the application of the latest information technology. Blitar Diskominfotik welcomed DTI-CX 2023 as a forum for meeting IT providers and other stakeholders in updating the latest IT developments to support the acceleration of digital transformation.

“The activities carried out today were extraordinary. We were treated to booths that offered a variety of new innovations. Numerous technological developments have happened over the past year. Lots of interesting hardware and software technologies. Almost everything is needed by the local government,” said the Head of the Blitar Diskominfotik Mujianto while attending DTI-CX 2023 at the JIExpo Jakarta Grand Ballroom (07/26).

According to Mujianto, this event inspired him to expand cooperation with IT vendors, primarily in the regions. He voiced, “After returning to Blitar, we will discuss with our team in the region about our needs to fulfill multiple matters towards an electronic-based government system (SPBE) in Blitar City.”

Most recently, Mujianto said the City of Blitar has made an extraordinary achievement in realizing digital transformation, one of which is included in the top five cities in Indonesia that apply digital leadership revealed by the Association of Indonesian Provincial Communication and Informatics Department (Askompsi).

IT infrastructure network covers 100% of Blitar City

Currently, the IT infrastructure network already covers 100% of the city area, enabling people throughout the Blitar region to access the internet. Therefore, the City Government focuses on developing equipment that can bolster the utilization of the IT network. Mujianto added, “As an example, we have installed city CCTVs. However, seeing the latest conditions, we will convey to our leader that there is a newer technology that can be adopted to simplify our work in the field.”

Responding to the latest cybersecurity issues, Blitar Diskominfotik has carried out several efforts, including strengthening HR capacity and establishing a cybersecurity agency in collaboration with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).

In addition, the Blitar City Government is also paying attention to increasing digital literacy for regional apparatus and their communities in overcoming cybersecurity challenges. “This is our vulnerable point. Sometimes we do not understand that what we have received can be harmful to ourselves or others,” Mujianto concluded.
