Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesian actor and entrepreneur Raffi Ahmad visited President-elect Prabowo Subianto to discuss further plans to empower the Indonesian rising generation in the new government era, particularly in the arts industry.
“Today, I was invited by the President-elect, Prabowo Subianto, to work together and help him in boosting the rising generation capability in Indonesia,” Raffi said after meeting Prabowo. However, he did not reveal the specific role he had been offered, only stating that his responsibilities would align with his current profession and expertise in the entertainment industry.
Instead of revealing the details of his role, Raffi mentioned that Prabowo Subianto would announce further details later. “Maybe the more concrete details will be disclosed directly by the President-elect, Prabowo,” Raffi added.
Raffi has been known for his close association with Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming’s campaign team during the 2024 presidential election. In addition, several members of Raffi’s family have also become legislative candidates representing the Koalisi Indonesia Maju (KIM).
Meanwhile, the Daily Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, delivered that the appointment with Prabowo Subianto included a larger group of potential cabinet appointees than the previous day. The meeting, which involved discussions about positions such as deputy ministers and agency heads, saw 49 people in attendance.
“I haven’t counted the exact number yet, but in some ministries, there are multiple candidates, while others have only one or two,” Dasco explained.
With his involvement, Raffi Ahmad’s influence in the creative industry is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the younger generation and fostering innovation in the arts sector under Prabowo’s leadership.
