Anambas Regent paid a visit to BNPP office

Heaptalk, Jakarta – On February 19 2024  Anambas Regent Abdul Haris along with his staff went to the Office of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) and marked as an important pivotal moment for both parties.

During his visit, Abdul Haris delivered several programs that become the main focus for the area development. Alongside him there were Regional Secretary (Sekda), Head of BPPD, as Head of BPPD Riau Islands Province (Kepri) and several accompanying staff.

One of the highlighted programs is the development of Human Resources, local economy that relies on fisheries and tourism, connectivity infrastructure, electricity and clean water supply.

He also highly appreciated the collaboration between BNPP and Anambas, specifically in supporting 10 rehabilitation program for ten village offices by the Directorate General of Village Government Development, Ministry of Home Affairs in 2023.

“We appreciate BNPP’s work in Anambas in the past 2023 that has encouraged a rehabilitation program for ten village offices under the Ministry of Home Affairs,” said Abdul.

Through that opportunity, he also suggested the addition of Lokpri sub-district on border, PLBN development in Jemaja Island which directly facing the Tioman area (Malaysia), construction of new roads and enhancing road quality.

“As well as the development of several State border sub-district government infrastructures,” he said.

Acting Deputy (Plt) Deputy for Infrastructure Management in Border Areas of BNPP, Farida Kurnianingrum, was the one who welcomed the visit stated that BNPP encourages local government’s effort to improve progress and prosperity of border communities.

“This becomes a key factor for for enhancing border area strategic management,” she explained.

According to Farida, all of Anambas Regent’s aspirations have been recorded and will be coordinated with the ministry and related association.

“We appreciate the attendance Anambas Regent and fellow BNPP, we will immediately respond the suggestion by coordinating with the ministy and related association,” Farida said.

In this opportunity, Abdul also discussed regarding the collaboration between BNPP with National Zakat Amil Agency (BAZNAS) that currently conducting several agendas in the border area.

In response of the Baznas’ collaboration, Assistant Deputy for Government Infrastructure Amrullah explained that he is currently arranging policies regarding the construction of an Integrated District Government Center in said border are.

Furthermore, head of Kepri Province BPDD mentioned the agenda of potential tourism development in Anambas through the Tioman-Jemaja sea route by upholding BNPP to immediately design a marine PLBN.

This visit is not only became the momentum to discuss and plan strategical steps, but also to emphasize the commitment in advancing the border area for its people.

With a strong collaboration from the central government, local government and other institutions as well as related stakeholders, hopefully Anambas can become a successful manifestation of Indonesia border area developmen.
