Around 230 exhibitors from 150 brands enliven Muslim LifeFair Bandung 2022 which is held on December 9-10 with details of 59 brands coming from West Java and 85 brands from outside West Java.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Muslim LifeFair Bandung 2022 organized by Lima Events and the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs’ Community (KPMI) officially opens at Bandung Convention Centre (12/09). Bandung becomes the final city of the Muslim LifeFair series after previously being held in Jakarta and Yogyakarta and Muslim LifeFest & Trade in Tangerang.
Known as the creative city of Juara MSME, 230 exhibitors from 150 brands enliven the event which is held on December 9-10, 2022 with details of 59 brands coming from West Java and 85 brands from outside West Java.
Since it was held for the first time in 2019, more than 200 participants have attended Muslim LifeFair with a business-to-customer (B2C) concept, and even Muslim LifeFest & Trade which has a business-to-business (B2) concept has reached 300 participants.
During the three-day event, visitors are treated to a variety of Muslim products at special prices, including modest fashion, halal cosmetics, Islamic education, hobbies and communities, Islamic books & publishers, halal travel, children’s products, sharia property, Islamic weddings, multi products, and safe & healthy Halal culinary (KHAS).
Director of Sharia Ecosystem Infrastructure of the National Sharia Economic and Finance Committee (KNEKS) Sutan Emir Hidayat inaugurated the opening of Muslim LifeFair Bandung 2022. Sutan appreciated the spirit of MSME players who are optimistic about networking with each other and collaborating in expanding market access through Muslim LifeFair.
The spirit indicates an awareness of halal MSME business actors that it is time for Indonesia to rise to become a major player, not just as a consumer, but instead to become a producer of halal products competing in the global market.
KNEKS also gives a high appreciation for the commitment of the organizers who have consistently held the Muslim LifeFair since 2019. The event continues to grow to form an export-oriented MSME development ecosystem. Through this endeavor, Indonesia’s vision of becoming the center for producing Halal products in 2024 is getting closer.
Sharia economy contributes 25% to the national economy
Currently, the contribution of the sharia economy to the national economy from the food, fashion, tourism, and agriculture sectors is noteworthy. According to data from the Ministry of Economics and Sharia Finance of Bank Indonesia, the sharia economy contribution will reach around 25-26% in the second quarter of 2022, growing by around 4.37% or less than the national economic growth of 5.44%.
“KNEKS will encourage creative and proactive efforts to accelerate towards Indonesia as a 2024 Global Hub,” said Sutan at the opening of the Muslim LifeFair Bandung (12/09).
To realize Indonesia’s vision of becoming a Global Halal Hub in 2024, MSMEs and Strategic Economic Areas in Indonesia have a significant role. The increasing halal lifestyle in Indonesia creates a potential market at the domestic level, coupled with the ease of doing business in strategic economic areas, spanning free trade areas and free harbors (KPBPB) and special economic zones (KEK), facilitating easier access to global markets.
“Moreover, with the enthusiasm of MSME players participating in exhibitions, this is part of the da’wah to increase awareness and understanding of the Muslim community of halal lifestyle according to sharia, surely this endeavor has its value and hopefully Allah always gives His great mercy,” concluded Director of Lima Events Deddy Andu.
