Heaptalk, Jakarta — Garuda Indonesia announced its strategic partnership with the Pokemon Company to launch Pokemon Air Adventures to present new flight experience. This exceptional Pokemon-themed flight experience, which will fly on February 24th, 2024, is expected to increase the number of tourists in Indonesia.
“This special Pokemon-themed flight experience will feature a special Pokemon character livery on Garuda Indonesia’s two B737-800 NG fleet at the end of 2023. This fleet is named Pikachu Jet GA1.” the Director of Service and Commercial PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk, Ade Rusadi, said during the Press Conference of Pokemon Air Adventure, Jakarta. (11/1)
Besides presenting a livery character, Garuda provides various collaborative merchandise products that the public can obtain and service users through GarudaShop.
During the agenda, Ade also explained that Pokemon Air Adventures Indonesia is an adaptive step by the company to capture the market share of domestic and regional tourists, especially towards Golden Indonesia, by optimizing public enthusiasm, especially in the family market segment and fans of online anime characters.
“Running this mandate as the national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia is committed to always being at the forefront in boosting the growth of national tourism by presenting an initiative to approach tourism activities in Indonesia, one of which is presenting anime characters in this well-known online games,” voiced Ade.
Regarding the Pokemon Air Adventure event, the person in charge of Pokemon Air Adventure, Susumu Fukunaga, explained that this event was dedicated to the Indonesian people and Pokemon lovers in Indonesia.
The event, which will take place at Puputan Niti Mandala Field Denpasar, Bali, on March 2nd – 3rd, 2023, will present several exciting events, such as Pokemon Go and Pokemon Run, Pikachu’s Splash Show during the day, Pikachu EDM featuring exciting songs, and a parade 10 Pikachu and Pokemon with mini-games with attractive prizes. On the other hand, Pokemon Air Adventure will also feature Pikachu in a batik shirt and other Pokemon characters.
