IECIE Vape Show Jakarta 2023 is enlivened by the launch of the latest e-cigarette products from the exhibitors and presentations from vape industry players.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The International Electronic Cigarette Industry Expo (IECIE) Vape Show has returned to Indonesia on August 03-05, 2023, at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran. As a collaboration between Informa Markets Creativity Exhibition and Pamerindo Indonesia, IECIE Vape Show Jakarta 2023 aims to showcase the latest products and trends in the vaping market.

“We are pleased that this year’s IECIE Vape Show can be present again in Jakarta after going through the pandemic in 2022, and now it can be held in full by cooperating with more exhibitors, brands, and vape enthusiasts from around the world. Hence, it can create a dynamic and unique experience at the same time celebrating development and innovation in the vape industry in accordance with the original purpose of this exhibition,” said Senior Marketing Manager of Shenzhen Informa Markets Creativity Exhibition Co., Ltd., Jill Guo.

Previously, the first exhibition in Jakarta which was held during the pandemic in 2022 attracted approximately 6,000 visitors. This year, Guo is optimistic that the exhibition will involve more than 200 local and international brands and attract more than 10,000 visitors. Guo added, “We are targeting the IECIE Vape Show Jakarta as part of the IECIE global tour series which will be held every year and since 2021 has become the largest vape exhibition in the world.”

For three days, the IECIE Vape Show Jakarta 2023 is enlivened by the launch of the latest e-cigarette products from the exhibitors and presentations from the vape industry players. Several well-known vape brands participate in the IECIE Vape Show Jakarta 2023, including HQD, RELX, ELUX, Kardinal, and LANA. Visitors can gain market insights and trends in talk shows and workshops.

B2B exhibition for distributors and brands

Apart from the vape brands, this event is also participated by supply chain actors from the vape industry, such as packaging machines, labels, bottles, and batteries. According to the Project Manager of Informa Markets Creativity Exhibition Co., Ltd., Licy Lee, the IECIE Vape Show Jakarta 2023 is mostly a B2B show which targets distributors or other brands. However, it also has a B2C segment for end consumers.

“Not only the manufacturer or brand distributor, but we also got other supply chains. So, if you are a professional visitor, you could come here, you can find the manufacturer, and you could find other supply chains to compare their suppliers,” said Lee.

IECIE sees Jakarta’s potential as one of the metropolitan cities in Southeast Asia that is ideal for showcasing products and technology in the vaping industry. In addition, Indonesia is also seen as a country with a potential market share that has a vaping community that continues to grow dynamic, active, and creative, even creating associations to accommodate vape brands and entrepreneurs.

According to a Statista survey report, Indonesia is the country with the most vape users in the world. It revealed that 25% of respondents from Indonesia or 1 in 4 respondents said they used a vape at least occasionally. The survey was conducted online in the period January – March 2023 with around 1,000-9,500 respondents aged 18-64 years from several countries, including Indonesia.

Meanwhile, outside Indonesia, vaping is popular in Switzerland with 15% of respondents, and England with 13% of respondents. The use of vape in the United States and Canada is also quite popular even though the number is still below Indonesia.
