Heaptalk, Jakarta — After achieving success last August with a total visitors of 33,000 people, Wahyu Promo Citra and Bank Jago Syariah will conduct the Halal Fair Series on a more comprehensive scale on December 8 – 10, 2023, at ICE BSD, Tangerang. In conjunction with the Halal International Trade Show (HIITS), this halal exhibition will implement a B2B and B2C business scheme.

According to the Project Director of Wahyu Promo Citra, Satrio Sukur, the exhibition is expected to strengthen the halal industry and boost the halal economy sustainably aligned with Indonesia’s Halal Industry Master Plan (MPIHI) 2023-2029.

Along with the increasing awareness of the Muslim community in Indonesia regarding Sharia economics and finance, Satrio perceived that the economic behavior of halal product and service businesses is required to be more proactive in accommodating market requisites and quickly seizing opportunities.

“This event is an incubation for how halal product businesses interact directly with consumers, identify market segments, increase business networks, and deepen Sharia-based business activities in strengthening the capacity and quality of products and services to be more competitive in the global market,” added Satrio.

Occupying an area of 10,000 m2, the 2023 Halal Fair and Halal Trade Show will be participated by 250 exhibitors from several countries, spanning Malaysia, Palestine, the Philippines, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Multiple halal products will also be showcased in the event’s three days, including fashion, travel agents, food and beverage, school, and Islamic books.

Visitors can also follow multiple attractive programs, covering the Halal Talk Show, Beauty Class, Food Talk, The Halal Certification Service, Children Storytelling, Cooking and Live Baking Show. In this agenda, local MSMEs can consult with the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH) regarding the halal certification process.

“By adopting technology, Bank Jago aims to advance the Sharia economy and financial industry. We hope that Halal Fair activities can help increase sharia financial literacy and encourage consumption of local halal products for Indonesia’s society.” The Head of Sharia Financing of Bank Jago, Agung Lesmana, affirmed.
