Heaptalk, Jakarta – On Tuesday (05/03), the result of Paser Regency’s achievement was announced by Paser Regent, dr. Fahmi Fadli in Jakarta. Paser Regency finally received the 2023 Adipura trophy from Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) from its success in urban sanitation and environmental management.
Fahmi said the Adipura’s evaluation was carried out by KLHK back in 2022. The evaluated object were markets, city roads, waste disposal site, schools, green open spaces, until the existence of plants for shaded areas.
Fahmi added, the 2023 Adipura award received by Paser Regency Government is not only based on the work performance under his leadership but also from cross sectors collaboration in managing the environment. “This is not just about DLH, this award is based on the cross sectors collaboration that have committed to manage city environment,” he said.
There is also an award for Adipura Trophy category, said Fahmi, it became the first time Paser Regency Government received the award was back in 2019.
”Paser Region had received an award in the form of Adipura charter. The differences between those two categories are the assessment weight. To receive the trophy, Paser is considered to have a significant improvement in the city cleanliness management,” he explained.
According to Safari, as a developed small city, the city cleanliness management must be executed earlier.
”Because when it becomes a big city, if proper handling is lacking, it will pose challenges.” he added.
In 2023, one of Paser DLH’s policies in managing city cleanliness were the Removal of Waste Disposal Sites (TPS) in several roads to eliminate a dirty impression, distribution of waste transport vehicles to 7 neighborhood units in Tanah Grogot and 3 Proklim villages. “We are expecting a clean and safe city with the removal of waste disposal sites,” Fahmi commented.
“We thank God for this achievement, as well as the support from the Regent and Vice Regent in realizing the environmental management efforts. This is a manifestation of nurturing from the MAS Paser Vision, where the infrastructure development continues to maintain environmental sustainability,” he concluded
