Heaptalk, Jakarta — Meorient Exhibition International is organizing the China Homelife Indonesia 2024 Trade Fair, which take place from June 4-7, 2024, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Approximately 871 suppliers and companies present 1,218 booths at this exhibition.

This 7th edition of the trade fair showcased thousands of products, innovations, technologies, and the latest designs from diverse sectors, including appliances, electronics, household goods, textiles, machinery, educational equipment, building materials, furniture, maternity and baby products, and renewable energy.

According to Larissa Zhou, Managing Director of Meorient Exhibition International, this fair is a crucial platform for connecting buyers and suppliers and showcasing the latest products and innovations. China Homelife Indonesia plays a vital role by providing a marketplace and serving as a catalyst for significant impacts on both Indonesia and China.

Meorient has designed this exhibition to serve as a gateway for major Chinese manufacturers to expand their products in the Indonesian market. The fair also presents lucrative opportunities for importers, distributors, and retailers in Indonesia. For instance, the machinery sector alone offers sophisticated and up-to-date machines, catering to the needs of home industries, printing, and large-scale manufacturing plants.

Attracting Chinese investors to invest in Indonesia

“We hope that other opportunities to be gained include the creation of many investors from China who are willing to invest in Indonesia, such as opening factories in Indonesia and collaborating with local companies. This will certainly be a profitable investment and have a positive impact by boosting Indonesia’s economy and creating jobs,” Larissa explained on the first day of the exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran Jakarta (06/05).

This major trade fair was opened by Xia Guoming, Executive Vice President of the China Educational Equipment Industry Association and Deputy General Manager of China Teaching Instrument, Yahya Sutarya, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education Administration for Southeast Asia, and Li Feng, Head Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

In his opening remarks, Xia Guoming stated, “We hope that the four-day exhibition will further open up opportunities for cooperation, collaboration, and exchange between the two countries, especially in the educational equipment sector. We also hope there will be a transfer of insights, knowledge, trends in educational equipment, and technology from China, which will benefit the advancement of education.”

Meanwhile, Yahya Sutarya is optimistic that this fair can become an excellent platform for educators, policymakers, and leaders in the education and teaching sectors in Indonesia to gather and explore the latest advancements in technology, resources, and educational methodologies. “I have witnessed the growing and remarkable cooperation between Indonesia and China over the past few years. I am confident that China’s development will significantly contribute to Indonesia’s development in various fields, especially education,” he concluded.
