Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Association of Indonesian Regency Government (Apkasi) has officially launched its annual event, Apkasi Otonomi Expo (AOE) 2025, which will held from July 10th to 12th, 2025, at Hall A-B of JCC Senayan, Jakarta.
According to Apkasi’s Executive Director, Sarman Simanjorang, next year’s event will adopt the theme of Globalizing Local Products. This newest edition will focus on critical trade, investment, tourism, and procurement sectors.
“Through this expo, we intend to increase the presence of regional products in global markets. We will also drive economic activity, ultimately improving public welfare. Apkasi can facilitate the entry of regional flagship products into domestic and international markets and attract investment in these regions.” Sarman affirmed.
Furthermore, he mentioned that AOE 2025 will coincide with Apkasi’s 25th anniversary. Instead of welcoming the Apkasi member, the expo will also welcome Ministries, Regional and State-owned Enterprises, private companies, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
“For the no-regency participants, AOE 2024 presents a strategic opportunity to promote programs and expand networks,” Sarman added.
The event will feature several supporting activities, including business matching, cultural performances, a Nusantara textile fashion show, field trips, regional costume competitions, creative video contests, and the Apkasi Journalism Award. Furthermore, workshops on government procurement will also be part of the event.
Head of Apkasi’s Program Division, Syaifudin Chaidir, emphasized the significance of business matching, which will receive special attention to ensure participants drive tangible benefits from the event. Following the official launch, Syaifudin invited regions to take advantage of the event, which has already received recognition and support from the central government, as a platform to expand the market for local products, promote tourism, and attract domestic and international investments.
“Business matching will be a continuous initiative. Last week, we held a networking luncheon with representatives from foreign embassies, trade attachés, and diaspora partners abroad,” he conveyed.
Syaifudin also delivered that AOE 2025 will serve as a strategic venue for procurement and an essential opportunity for companies providing goods and services to the government.
“Local governments, including provincial, regency, and municipal governments, are the end users and big buyers in government procurement. To optimize the event, we will also invite ministries, state-owned enterprises, and regional hospitals as key budget users,” he concluded.
