Heaptalk, Jakarta — A financial platform KoinWorks has successfully organized a KoinWorks NEO Inspire competition in April this year. Through the competition, this fintech startup intends to inspire Indonesian entrepreneurs to manage their businesses more efficiently, particularly in their financial turnover.
The story pitch competition involved 9,000 participants from multiple sectors, including MSEs, womenpreneurs, freelancers, content creators, startups, and educators, but only sixty of them could continue to the next step. During the training stage, the selected candidate had also performed several activities, namely bootcamp and mentoring sessions, before walking to the primary agenda, namely presenting their business plans.
The series of these activities has become a masterclass in spreading sustainable business knowledge for candidates to be summarized for the presentation session. They must be concerned with several assessment points to pass into the next stage, such as their business knowledge, expertise in tackling finances, and business uniqueness to positively impact society.
“This competition is expected to strategically develop SMEs’ business, maximize their business expertise, and enlarge their relations using the KoinWorks NEO services. We will continue to evolve our program and innovation for our targeted participants to contribute to the economic recovery in Indonesia.” said Chief Marketing Officer of KoinWorks, Grace Hong.
The pitch session was executed at the peak of the KoinWorks NEO Inspire festival last June 25th – 26th, 2022, at East Plaza, Gelora Bung Karno. Simultaneously, the committee also implemented the awarding night session for the winners on the same occasion.
The evaluators chose a winner from each category, including Adhitya Farkhaan for the SME category, Roro Widi Astuti in the womenpreneur category, Evander Nathanael from the Freelancer category, Nienie Admajaya as a content creator, Ridha Indradewa from startup category, and Febndy Kwik in the Educator category. For the victory, the winners are rewarded US$135,000.
As one of the competition winners of the startup category, Ridha Indradewa, uttered, “I have learned that technology utilization is one of the essential points to manage our business to be efficient, one of them by operating the KoinWorks NEO feature. Through this competition, I expect to inspire other Indonesia entrepreneurs to take proactive action in optimizing their business in the future.”
Also, Leonard Theosabrata, KoinWorks NEO Inspire competition judge and Director of Smesco Indonesia, delivered his appreciation. “The progress of SMEs is one of the most critical factors for the economic growth in Indonesia.
