Heaptalk, Jakarta — Alva, a two-wheel vehicle electrification company, has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance customer experience, loyalty, and demand for its electric motorcycles.
The electric motorcycle company has chosen Google Cloud as its primary cloud service provider, leveraging its best-in-class AI-optimized infrastructure, cloud data, and AI technology to drive innovation focused on four key pillars: advancing targeted R&D efforts, empowering the customer service team with personalized insights, boosting sales staff productivity, and enhancing marketing efforts by creating locally relevant content.
Purbaja Pantja, Alva‘s CEO, stated, “Electrification is transforming the mobility sector, and we aim to make one out of every three electric two-wheelers in Indonesia an Alva vehicle within the next three to five years. Google Cloud’s data cloud and AI technology are crucial in helping us obtain data-driven insights that will guide our R&D and improve every touchpoint in the customer journey, ultimately accelerating the adoption and demand for electric vehicles.”
In detail, to build a data-driven approach to customer experience, Alva uses Google Cloud’s leading integrated data platform, BigQuery, to combine structured and unstructured data across the organization, including data from its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and IoT sensors installed on its electric motorcycles, as well as data from other services in the broader Google ecosystem currently used by Alva, such as Google Ads, Google Maps, and Android Auto.
Google Cloud‘s open approach to data enables Alva’s database to connect with external partners to collect all relevant data into one platform for visibility. The ease of use of Google Cloud’s data services allows Alva’s Business Intelligence team to reduce the time spent developing code for data access from 80% to around 25%.
Alva also integrates its data platform with AI models on Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform, Vertex AI, to analyze and extract valuable insights to improve the overall customer experience. This includes extracting data and insights from across the company to answer business-related questions regardless of format or location.
Alva is also working to leverage enterprise-ready generative AI capabilities such as Vertex AI Search and Conversation, enabling the marketing team to gain insights and recommendations from stored data in natural language to quickly and at scale create marketing content tailored to the needs of specific audience segments.
Fanly Tanto, Google Cloud’s Country Director for Indonesia, said the automotive industry is fundamentally shifting as the market moves toward reducing carbon emissions. He expressed excitement about supporting green mobility leaders like Alva as they continue to push the boundaries of innovation to meet their customers’ evolving needs.
“Our collaboration with Alva is an excellent demonstration of how leading data analytics and AI can help businesses stay ahead of disruptions. Through this partnership, we are proud to contribute to accelerating Indonesia’s transition to electric vehicles in line with the national goal of reducing emissions,” Fanly concluded.
