Heaptalk, Jakarta — The Coordinating Minister for Investment and Maritime Affairs, Luhut Pandjaitan, inspects the venue of the Bali International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, which will be held from 18 to 21 September at the General Aviation Terminal, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali.
Coordinating Minister Luhut, during his inspection of Bali Airshow preparation and venue, stated, “As the world’s largest archipelago, aviation is a strategic sector. The Bali Airshow will enhance cross-island connectivity, accelerate the tourism industry, and encourage economic growth.”
He underscored the uniqueness of Bali Airshow, “This airshow will be different from other events. Something that makes BIAS unique is the launch of the National Roadmap and Action Plan for the Development of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Ecosystem”.
He perceived that this program can provide value added, maintain energy resilience in aviation sector, and support Indonesia’s commitment to decarbonization.
“Moreover, we also coined a special program to invites stakeholders of aviation industry to commit to ESG issue, one of which is through humanity concreate action between Bali Airshow and CARE Indonesia in Nusa Tenggara Timur,” conveyed Luhut.
For information, Bali Airshow reportedly targets to attract 6,000 trade visitors from 100 companies and over 100 delegates from 35 countries worldwide. In its implementation, the aviation expo is open to public and supported by Indonesian Military (TNI), the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Indonesian Air Force, AirNav Indonesia, and the Ngurah Rai International Airport Authorities.
