Heaptalk, Jakarta — Deputy for Politics, Law Defense and Security at the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN), Bogat Widyatmoko, emphasized that the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) aims to address various global crises that could impact the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
“We are currently facing a highly challenging global situation, including the triple planetary crisis. This situation is slowing progress toward the SDGs by 2030 globally. This matter motivated Indonesia to organize HLF MSP 2024,” said Deputy Bogat Widyatmoko.
HLF MSP 2024 will be a crucial platform for global leaders, policymakers, and representatives from various sectors to discuss collaborative strategies and actions to address increasingly complex global challenges. The forum will also reaffirm Indonesia’s leadership on the international stage and accelerate transformation through cross-sector collaboration.
Bogat further revealed that the forum will support finalizing Indonesia’s Long-Term National Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025-2045, which is entering its final phase. A key focus of this plan is realizing the Vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, in which Indonesia is expected to emerge as a leader in the region and among Global South countries.
“HLF MSP 2024 will strengthen Indonesia’s global position and promote inclusive and sustainable development cooperation,” he added.
The forum will feature over 740 registered participants, with numbers increasing to reach 1,105 attendees potentially. Additionally, 83 global speakers from various sectors will address critical issues related to sustainable development and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
HLF MSP 2024 is expected to catalyze transformative development actions, foster the right to more inclusive development, and promote equality in partnerships among developing nations.
“We are optimistic that the outcomes of this forum will significantly contribute to achieving the SDGs and serve as a foundation for future global cooperation, particularly within South-South cooperation,” Bogat concluded.
