Heaptalk, Jakarta — To strengthen bilateral and economic relations between Indonesia and China, the China Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Peraga Expo, is holding two exhibitions with different themes: the Indonesia International Machinery, Electricity, and New Energy Industry Exhibition (IIME) 2024 and the Indonesia International Paper Chain and Clean Water Industry Exhibition 2024 at JIExpo Kemayoran.

The industrial machinery and electronics exhibition, which showcases the latest innovations and technological advancements in industrial machinery and technology in the paper and pulp industry, is held from August 21 to 23, 2024, at Hall B1 and B2 of JIExpo Kemayoran.

“Through this exhibition, the Chinese government aims to promote the potential products from various provinces in China,” explained Shi YongHong, Deputy President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, during the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday (08/21) at Hall B, JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

Hundreds of Chinese companies from various provinces are showcasing their best products. The products on display include categories such as generators and genset devices, transmission and distribution products (electrical equipment, smart switch transformers, power equipment, etc., switchgear, wires, and cables), new energy products (solar power generation modules, electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage), and many more.

“Many Indonesian businesses do not yet have connections with manufacturers in China due to challenges such as distance, time, and cost. We are helping solve these issues by bringing first-hand Chinese producers and suppliers to Indonesia so Indonesian businesses can meet directly. The Chinese manufacturers present have undergone a strict curation process, ensuring that the products they bring are of good quality and, of course, very competitively priced,” said Liana Bratasida, Chairperson of the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association, which supports the IIME and Paper Chain Indonesia exhibitions.

Meanwhile, Paper Chain Indonesia 2024 is showcasing various paper-making machinery and equipment, household paper machinery and equipment, raw materials and additives for paper production, pulp, paper-making chemicals, environmental protection technology and waste treatment equipment, paper-making automation and computer control systems, water treatment chemicals, wastewater treatment technology and equipment, and comprehensive solutions for water treatment.

“We invite Indonesian businesses to make good use of this exhibition, as it will have a significant impact on their business development,” said Paul Kingsen, CEO of Peraga Expo.

Li Hongwei, Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Indonesia, said that this event could further increase the bilateral trade volume between Indonesia and China, which currently has reached hundreds of billions of USD. “With this exhibition, visitors can deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and work together to build a more resilient and robust industry within the bilateral relations between China and Indonesia,” added Li Hongwei.

Yohannes P. Widjaja, Chairman of the Indonesian Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association (APPI), appreciated this event, which showcased Chinese technology, especially in manufacturing. “I hope this exhibition can create synergy between Chinese and Indonesian entrepreneurs to work together to open industries in Indonesia, thereby advancing the domestic industry. The impact of this exhibition is significant, especially with the many great technologies being showcased,” Yohannes concluded.
