Heaptalk, Jakarta — Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas has encouraged the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in San Francisco, United States, to continuously enhance public service efforts, including through digital transformation, to make services more accessible and effectively meet the community’s needs.

“This visit is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the close relationship between the government in Indonesia and its overseas representatives, as well as to observe the services at the KJRI San Francisco,” he stated during his visit to the KJRI San Francisco in the United States on Thursday. (05/30)

The KJRI San Francisco serves approximately 20,000 Indonesian citizens, including students, technology workers, nurses, and others. Silicon Valley, the world’s technology hub, home to thousands of global IT companies, is within the jurisdiction of the KJRI San Francisco.

“The KJRI San Francisco also serves Indonesian digital talents working in Silicon Valley. We sincerely hope that the KJRI San Francisco can continue to be committed to providing the best services to Indonesian citizens,” he added.

Minister Anas also emphasized that the KJRI San Francisco plays a strategic role in promoting Indonesian investment, trade, and tourism to the local community and stakeholders within its jurisdiction. Close collaboration with various parties, including local governments, business institutions, and the diaspora community, will be key to expanding economic cooperation between Indonesia and the United States.

On this occasion, Anas expressed his hope that the KJRI San Francisco will support the bureaucratic reform agenda, enhance the quality of human resources within the apparatus, and leverage information technology in public services. “We believe that through synergy between the central government, overseas representatives, and the community, we can create better public services and build a more advanced and competitive Indonesia on a global scale,” he explained.

Also, the Indonesian Consul General in San Francisco Prasetyo Hadi stated that the KJRI San Francisco will continue to improve public services to facilitate the community in managing various services. “We are grateful for the visit of the Minister of PANRB and his delegation to the KJRI San Francisco. We hope that the Minister’s mandate on improving impactful public services can be implemented soon,” he concluded.
