Heaptalk, Jakarta — Pertamina Hulu Energi’s subsidiary, PT Elnusa Tbk, is collaborating with PT Industri Batteries Indonesia (Indonesia Battery Corporation/IBC) to develop an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem through the establishment of a battery swapping system.
To mark this collaboration, Elnusa‘s President Director Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja and IBC‘s President Director Toto Nugroho conducted MoU signing which was witnessed by Elnusa’s Business Development Director Arief Prasetyo Handoyo, Elnusa’s Finance Director Stanley Iriawan, and Elnusa’s HR & General Director Hera Handayani at the Graha Elnusa Building, South Jakarta (03/ 22).
As an energy services company, this collaboration represents the company’s adaptive step to the current development and its concern concern for environmental sustainability. According to Elnusa, IBC is chosen as a partner since the company has a strategic position in developing the EV ecosystem business.
President Director of Elnusa Bachtiar Soeria Atmadja stated that currently new and renewable energy (NRE) is an objective that many countries want to achieve although dependence on fossil energy is large. “Elnusa has a strategy to accelerate business development growth through renewable energy and electric vehicles. We see that Elnusa and IBC have huge opportunities for cooperation,” Bachtiar said in a written statement.
Meanwhile, IBC President Director Toto Nugroho conveyed, “With IBC’s vision as a global EV and battery ecosystem company, we support Elnusa in taking very good steps to play a role in the EV ecosystem in the future. One of them is related to the battery swapping system which will be built in the Graha Elnusa Building. I am sure this collaboration will be mutually beneficial for both Elnusa and IBC.”
With the cooperation, Bachtiar hoped that Elnusa and IBC’s relationship could extend to a further stage. “With the spirit of synergy and collaboration, we hope that the EV ecosystem business development that will be carried out can run smoothly and gain good results,” he concluded.
