Heaptalk, Jakarta — During a total of four days, Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (Giicomvec) 2024 recorded an achievement by attracting 11,531 trade visitors, higher than the previous year’s event.
“The implementation of Giicomvec 2024 achieved positive results as can be seen from the presence of curated trade visitors which reached more than 70% of the total visitors. They come to expand their business network and find solutions to their business needs, and Gaikindo hopes that holding this exhibition can make a significant contribution to the growth and advancement of commercial vehicles,” said General Chairman of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi.
For this attainment, Gaikindo delivered its appreciation to all parties, primarily for the full support from the government with the presence of the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita on March 8 to officially open the exhibition. On the same day, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi also attended the event as the keynote speaker at the seminar titled ‘Maintaining Safety and Implementing Digitalization in Land Transportation Management’, a collaboration of Giicomvec 2024 and the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (Aptrindo). In addition, Yohannes also expressed his gratitude for the support from Gaikindo members, all participants, related associations, as well as trade visitors from diverse business lines.
Boosting networking and transaction process
Meanwhile, Chairman III Gaikindo and Chairman of the Gaikindo Exhibition Organizer Rizwan Alamsjah stated that the aim of Giicomvec 2024 being a networking and business innovation event for commercial vehicle industry activists successfully received a positive response. “The participants and commercial vehicle industry business players took full advantage of the positive momentum of Giicomvec, more than 800 scheduled meetings between trade visitors and exhibitors took place throughout the first three days of the exhibition. We believe this will provide a positive boost to the networking and transaction process,” said Rizwan.
According to Rizwan, trade visitors can not only build networking at the Giicomvec 2024 but also gain in-depth insight into the latest trends in the commercial vehicle industry. “Giicomvec 2024 is a strategic event for industry players to discuss crucial issues, explore the potential for sustainable cooperation, and design innovative solutions in facing the challenges faced in the commercial vehicle sector, with seminar programs, talk shows, and classrooms proving that Giicomvec is not solely an exhibition, but also a valuable forum for knowledge exchange and industrial development,” Rizwan concluded.
