Heaptalk, Jakarta — Osteoporosis, is a disease that threatens millions of people all over the world, and Indonesia is one of the countries that have a great tension towards the issue. Although the country has been in an osteoporosis emergency, the awareness to maintain bone health remains diminutive. Marking the National Osteoporosis Day 2021, Kalbe Nutritionals, Indonesia’s vast pharmacy company, organized hybrid event to leverage people’s awareness of this problem. (23/10)
Prior to the event, Kalbe Nutritionals has already put its great concern toward the osteoporosis topic, which, further, is embodied in Entrasol, calcium-rich milk with olive fruit extract to assist people in maintaining their bone health. Through Entrasol, the subsidiary company of Kalbe Group supports the Declaration of National Movement against Osteoporosis which was initiated by the Association of Indonesia’s Healthy Bone (PERWATUSI).
The program was held in the form of a hybrid event, combining in-person attendees and virtual attendees. The live event took place in Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, South Jakarta, on Saturday, 23rd October 2021, by applying strict health protocol. During the occasion, Indonesia’s Vice President Ma’ruf Amin attended the event virtually to inaugurate the program.
Moreover, the occasion was also witnessed by Deputy Minister of Health Saksono Harbuwono, and Creative Economy and Tourism Minister Sandiaga Uno. The presence of these prominent figures reflects that the government supports the Kalbe Nutritionals’ measure thoroughly.
In his opening speech, Ma’ruf Amin stated, “In 2021, PERWATUSI rise the theme “National Movement to Fight Against Osteoporosis”, that strategically empowers Indonesia’s development agenda, particularly heading towards Indonesia’s health, has a strong bone, and be productive.”
Amin also added, “We, generally, know that the disease not only affects one in three women, men also do not immune to the illness. For these reasons, a massive education concerning osteoporosis should be carried out intensively.”
According to Kalbe Nutritionals, to achieve the aim of the program’s agenda, both Entrasol and PERWATUSI conducted several activities, including virtual gymnastics and health talk show throughout October.
In addition, PERWATUSI’s Chairman Anita Hutagalung mentioned that the action does not stop in this phase but will keep going by generating innovation that boosts people’s awareness as well as transferring knowledge about osteoporosis.
Moreover, as a brand that supports the osteoporosis prevention movement, Entrasol has promoted “a 30 minutes Every Day Exercise” campaign to engage people in staying active. From the Business Unit Coordinator-General Adult Nutrition Kalbe Nutritionals, the Perwatusi’s program was aligned with Entrasol’s vision, specifically to educate people concerning osteoporosis prevention, and for this reason, Entrasol provides the full support towards the programs.
