Muslim LifeFest 2023 presents new programs, one of which is Sportainment through a badminton tournament in collaboration with Kasisolusi founder and CEO Deryansha.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — The halal product and industry business exhibition Muslim Lifestyle Festival (Muslim LifeFest) 2023 is officially held on August 25-27 taking place at Halls 9 and 10, Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE BSD), Banten.
This year’s event is in conjunction with the Muslim Education Festival (Muslim EduFest) initiated by PT Satue Event and Bina Masyarakat Madani Indonesia (BMMI). Muslim EduFest 2023 presents dozens of Islamic educational institutions from elementary to tertiary levels.
Commencing the event, Acting Executive Director, Executive Board of the National Sharia Economy and Finance Committee (KNEKS) Taufik Hidayat appreciated the Indonesian Muslim Entrepreneurs Community (KPMI) and Lima Events for their committed and consistent efforts in driving the economic potential of the real sector of halal products and the sharia industry in multiple regions since 2019.
“Muslim LifeFest is an event to build synergy between business actors and diverse parties and to educate the importance of halal certification in a more integrated and widespread manner,” said Taufik.
He further invited all business actors who have obtained halal certification, to improve quality and maintain applicable quality standards. Indonesia has a halal standard and a halal assurance system which is the reference for the world halal certification body, namely HAS23000. This is one of Indonesia’s strengths to compete in the global market.
Handing over the halal certification awards
Attending the opening ceremony, the Chairperson of KPMI Rachmat Surtanas Marpaung is optimistic that the Muslim LifeFest 2023 will bring 40,000 visitors or close to last year’s achievement of 42,000 visitors. According to him, this event is a barometer to see trends that continue to evolve following changes in consumer behavior. Therefore, business actors must also prepare themselves to adapt to changes swiftly.
“Sharia economic as well as financial literacy and inclusion must be continuously promoted, socialized, and synergized with all relevant parties to strengthen the Islamic economic ecosystem that we are building,” Rachmat voiced. The role of an inclusive ecosystem is needed to mobilize existing potential, create needs, and increase the added value and quality of Indonesian halal products. All of these efforts are made to realize Indonesia’s big dream of becoming the center of world halal producers in 2024.
At the opening ceremony, Rachmat handed over awards to three selected business actors who had obtained halal certification. In addition, selected business actors also received a standard-sized free booth prize at the Muslim LifeFest 2023.
