Indonesia’s Reku recorded a 100% growth in volume on staking feature as of June, with Millenial users up to 70%.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Indonesia-based crypto asset trading platform Reku provides its staking feature as its strategy for optimizing the crypto assets of its investors amid volatile market conditions.
The company observes that the crypto market movements are still significantly volatile over the past week. Launching Coinmarketcap data (08/23), the prices of several assets, such as Bitcoin, fell by 10.99%, becoming US$25.993 per coin (equivalent to Rp.398.34 million). Furthermore, Ethereum (ETH) also decreased up to 10.72% in the week, becoming US$1,630 (around Rp3.25 million) per coin.
Nevertheless, Reku’s Chief Compliance Officer (COO), Robby, views the potential to stabilize the value. For this reason, he suggested that crypto asset investors need to reconstruct their investment strategy.
In his further statement, Robby added, “Investors can also choose from several techniques to optimize assets, such as Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA), which allows investors to buy several assets regularly and disciplined. Besides, investors can also perform staking or lock up crypto assets to get passive income.”
Driving innovation of crypto ecosystem products and services
As an optimization strategy towards users’ crypto assets, the company claims that the Staking feature can be an option for Indonesian crypto investors to encounter the current volatile conditions. This feature enables users to earn rewards in exchange for participating in blockchain developments of up to 12.5% annually. On the other hand, users can also take benefit from the price enhancement of their coins and can carry out the stake and un-stake process flexibly.
COO of Reku, Robby, revealed his optimism that the staking feature is a product and service innovation that can keep investors excited amidst market uncertainty. Based on his statement, Reku noted a 100% growth in volume on the staking feature on its platform as of June.
The startup recorded that around 70% of users of the staking feature on Reku are Millennials. Their high participation in staking demonstrates the high demand for this feature and their carefulness in investing in crypto assets. Through this feature, investors can still obtain sustainable passive income while waiting for the market to reach the green zone.
“Despite significant market volatility, the staking feature on the Reku platform is a strategic move to maintain appetite and respond to investor needs, including investors with medium and long-term goals. The feature is suitable for portfolio diversification and backs users to reduce price fluctuations for one type of crypto asset,” Robby said in his statement.
As information, Reku provides stake features for five coins, spanning Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT), and Tezos (XTZ).
