Technical guidance on the population administration was participated by district representatives, each consisting of two operators and one section head of the village government.

Heaptalk, Jakarta — The East Kutai Regency Government seeks to improve services from various sectors, one of which is population administration. Through the Population and Civil Registry Department (Disdukcapil), the Regency Government provided technical guidance on the population administration information system (Siak) for operators at the district level.

Taking place at the Maloy Café, Hotel Royal Victoria, the activity lasted for two days on July 11-12, 2023. Participants were representatives from districts, each consisting of two operators and one section head of the village government.

In his opening remarks, Regent Ardiansyah Sulaiman said that his party continues to improve the population administration service facilities. He voiced, “Community will no longer be complicated by scalpers from the district to take care of their files at Disdukcapil.”

Currently, almost all districts are capable of providing population administration services while some of them do not yet have the required tools. Ardiansyah hopes that the limitations of this tool can be overcome soon. Thus, the operators who participated in this technical guidance can immediately apply the knowledge with the tool.

“I asked Disdukcapil to coordinate with Communication and Informatics, Statistics and Encryption Department in maximizing the network in each district. Thus, Siak can be used without any issues,” he added. Ardiansyah hopes that Department’s services can become one of the best among other regional apparatus organizations.

Meanwhile, according to the Head of the East Kutai Disdukcapil Jumeah, this activity aims to increase the human resource capacity of Siak operators in each district. This is in accordance with the regional medium-term development plan 2021-2026 which stipulates that each district must be able to serve population administration.

Jumeah explained, “Actually last year there were already six districts that could serve population administration. This year, there are eleven districts that will be installed with KTP printing recorders.”
