October 9, 2026 Tangerang. Panorama Media officially opened the 27th edition of the FLEI Business Show and the 9th edition of the Café & Brasserie Expo Indonesia (CBE) at NICE PIK 2, Tangerang. The opening was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of MSMEs, the Ministry of Creative Economy, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). Running until Sunday, October 11, 2026, the two exhibitions present a complementary business ecosystem: FLEI brings together franchise brand owners with potential partners and investors, while CBE brings together cafe, restaurant, and bar entrepreneurs with their suppliers.

“The franchise industry plays a vital role in expanding business opportunities and driving domestic trade. We encourage local brands to continuously strengthen their business standards to compete in both domestic and global markets, and exhibitions like this serve as an effective platform for connecting brand owners with potential partners,” said the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Budi Santoso, M.Si.

This year’s event also involved collaboration with industry associations, including the Indonesian Franchise and Licensing Association (WALI), the Indonesian Coffee Association (ASKI), the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailers and Tenants Association (HIPPINDO), and the Indonesian Cafe and Restaurant Entrepreneurs Association (APKRINDO). “We are presenting these two exhibitions side by side because their market needs are interconnected. Investors who find business concepts at FLEI also need suppliers and equipment at CBE. By bringing all these links together in one location, we want each visit to result in tangible business follow-up,” said Royanto Handaya, President Director of Panorama Media.

FLEI Business Show: Local Brands Are Growing Stronger, Opening Opportunities for Regional Expansion

This year’s FLEI comes amidst positive developments in the national franchise industry. The Ministry of Trade recorded that by August 2026, the number of Franchise Registration Certificates (STPW) for local brands reached 169, surpassing the 163 STPWs for foreign brands. A decade earlier, the share of foreign brands was still around 70 percent.

“Local franchise brands are now on par with, and even beginning to surpass, foreign brands in terms of the number of registrations. This shows that market confidence in domestic brands continues to grow. However, prospective partners still need to be careful, and exhibitions like FLEI provide a space for direct comparison.”

“And ensure that the selected brand has been officially registered,” said WALI Chairperson Levita G. Supit SH, MH, who also serves as Chair of the Kadin Standing Committee for Franchise.

To encourage this growth, FLEI presents an International Business Summit that brings together businesspeople from six countries: Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The Business Matching Program facilitates strategic meetings between brands, investors, and potential partners, while the Business Conference discusses growth strategies and the development of the franchise and entrepreneurship industries. Visitors can also engage in discussions with experts from World Franchise Associates, Asiawide Franchise Consultants, and Franchise Academy Indonesia.

“Many Indonesian brands, particularly in the culinary and coffee sectors, already have the competitive edge to enter regional markets. What’s needed is access to the right networks and partners, and forums like the International Business Summit provide these opportunities,” said Juan Permata Adoe, Deputy Chairman and Coordinator for Export Development at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).

Café & Brasserie Expo: A Meeting Place for the Cafe Industry from Upstream to Downstream

If FLEI is the entry point for selecting a business concept, CBE is the place to build its operations. This exhibition brings together cafe and restaurant owners, outlet managers, baristas, and aspiring entrepreneurs with suppliers of coffee, tea, chocolate, beer, wine, and spirits, as well as business equipment and solution providers. Visitors can test products before purchasing, establish collaborations through Business Matching, and participate in Cafe Talks, Latte Art Workshops, and Coffee Roasting Experiences. The series of events concludes with the Cafe Industry Awards as a tribute to the nation’s cafe industry.

The industry’s prospects are supported by a growing domestic market. A United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) report projects Indonesian coffee consumption in 2024/2025 to reach 4.8 million 60-kilogram sacks, up from 4.45 million sacks in 2020/2021.

“The growth in the number of coffee shops has a direct impact on domestic demand for coffee beans, which ultimately strengthens local farmers and roasters. The more cafe owners use Indonesian coffee, the greater the added value that returns to the upstream,” said Irsan Yumeno, Chairman of the Central Executive Board of ASKI.

Three Exhibitions in One Access

FLEI and CBE are held simultaneously with the 2nd edition of the Indonesia Outing & Incentive Travel Expo (IOITE), which has been open since October 8, 2026. With one access, visitors can explore all three exhibitions at once, including outing solutions, team building, and incentive travel for companies.

As an official bank partner, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is offering an instant cashback promotion for 150 transactions per day at this event using QRIS in myBCA. Visitors can also take advantage of 50% Reward BCA cashback with a minimum redemption of IDR 50,000 for all transactions using a BCA Credit Card. In addition to enjoying various promotions from BCA, visitors can also get to know BCA better.

Ocean by BCA, an integrated digital business portal from BCA that provides around 100 solutions for business actors. Hundreds of solutions are presented ranging from transactions, financing, to operational management, as well as connecting business actors with BCA’s business network. The event is also supported by Lalamove as Official Logistics Partner and The 1O1 Hotel as Official Hotel Partner. All three exhibitions are open to the public daily from 10:00 to 20:00 WIB, with the last ticket exchange at 19:00 WIB. Panorama Media invites business actors, investors, brand owners, and the public who are exploring business opportunities to attend.
