Together with Wahyoo, Trinity has cooperated with several Indonesian artists to create a private label, Ayam Paduka.
Heaptalk, Jakarta — Trinity Entertainment Group (TEG), through the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) business unit becomes a strategic investor for a Culinary MSME enabler startup, Wahyoo. The presence of a giant record label and management talent TEG in the list of Wahyoo’s investors will not only support the startup from the capital side, but also to the future project promotions.
TEG was reportedly followed Wahyoo’s Series B fundraising worth US$6.5 million, or nearly Rp99.4 billion, last November 2022. Explaining the company’s involvement in this investment, the CEO of Trinity Entertainment Group (TEG), Yonathan Nugroho, conveyed, “Our CVC funding scheme is devoted to business support and management. Together with Wahyoo, we have cooperated with several Indonesian artists to create a private label, Ayam Paduka,” Yonathan added.
Currently, Wahyoo has developed several private-label brands, one of which is Ayam Paduka which has nearly 50 outlets spread over Jakarta Greater Area, Bandung, and Solo. The CEO of this MSMEs enabler startup, Peter Shearer, claimed the company’s decision to augment the private label business model ensures that MSMEs are involved and positively impact the entire culinary ecosystem being built.
Related to this investment, Peter added, “We are incredibly welcome TEG’s participation into the Wahyoo business ecosystem as we appreciate the vision and values in building the culinary industry in Indonesia. Through the power of Trinity talents, we have robust confidence to promote the private label project of Wahyoo in the future,”
Peter also aims to unlock numerous opportunities to collaborate with more Indonesian artists to establish a new brand through this strategic cooperation. By reinforcing the collaboration, he emphasized delivering a similar objective, expecting to generate business sustainability and a healthy business ecosystem.
In terms of business performance, Yonathan claimed the business growth of Wahyoo has enhanced significantly YoY, indicating two folds from the participating partners. For this reason, the Trinity Group believes this startup could become a strategic partner in the entertainment ecosystem that is currently being built.
“Wahyoo has a fantastic mission to represent sustainability for business movement, becoming the most prominent end-to-end platform for culinary MSMEs in the archipelago. We also discussed ascertaining revenue streams, risk mitigation, and supply chain infrastructure that Wahyoo presented,” Yonathan affirmed.
In addition, Yonathan delivered his impression with the willingness of the Wahyoo founders to open themselves up to cross-industry collaboration. Existing in the entertainment industry, he intends to transfer valuable insights about the audience and market dedicated to the partners.
