Heaptalk, Jakarta — As an impact of the PDN hack issue, the data of Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and Indonesian Automated Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) have allegedly been leaked and are being sold for US$1,000 – US$7,000 on the dark web.
The information went viral on social media platform X, posted by the account @MurtadhaOne1. The account stated, “The Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia is a ministry in the Indonesian government responsible for transportation affairs, led by a Minister of Transportation who has been Budi Karya Sumadi since July 27, 2016.”
Furthermore, this account wrote that data from BAIS, INAFIS, and the Ministry of Transportation is being sold on the dark web. This issue demonstrated that the nation’s cybersecurity could be more robust despite having an agency called the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).
The post garnered various comments from netizens. For example, user @yesmar_banu wrote:
One user, @yesmar_banu, expressed concern, stating, “Intelligence data, weapon systems data, and other classified information are leaked. This demonstrates how a large country like Indonesia can be easily compromised. There is no need for provocations, no need to raise arms, no need for grand narratives—just a simple hack, and the country is at risk.”
Meanwhile, user @fredrinnRMCF commented, “There is no need to deploy thousands of soldiers and combat vehicles; just one hacker can destabilize everything.”
As of the time this news was reported, the Ministry of Transportation and Inafis had not responded.
