Heaptalk, Jakarta — Iran’s attack on Israel indeed took the world aback, including Indonesia. However, this incident has not yet significantly impacted Indonesia’s digital-based industries, including startups.
Minister of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi informed the media after Halal Bihalal at his office in Jakarta on Tuesday (04/16) that there had been no significant impact on startups until now. “However, the government will not remain silent. This is to anticipate undesirable things,” said Budi Arie. Further, he will elaborate on the steps after discussing them with President Joko Widodo.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said on her Instagram account, “The development of the global economic and financial situation and very high geopolitical tensions are moving quickly and dynamically. This condition affects various economic indicators that must be anticipated and watched out for.”
