Heaptalk, Jakarta — Singapore’s parenting startup Supermom secured a USD14 million Series B funding round. Returning investors AC Ventures and Qualgro participated alongside Granite Asia, which led the round, and Hearst Ventures. According to the startup, this fresh injection arrives less than two years after Supermom’s Series A round of USD6.05 million in December 2022, led by Qualgro.
The company will use the funds to invest in AI capabilities and international expansion, enhancing its product offerings and driving innovation to provide more excellent value to brands and consumers. Team expansion is a priority to accelerate development efforts.
Commenting on this funding, the CEO of Supermom, Luke Lim, conveyed, “As a company, we remain committed to building the largest AI-driven data platform in SEA connecting brands and consumers. Our track record in the last four years of scaling the business by focusing on our core solutions and clients has helped us build a solid foundation for growth. We are thrilled to have Granite lead this investment round. With their extensive global experience transforming tech startups into industry leaders, we are confident in our business’s future growth and impact.”
Supermom has become a leading platform connecting brands to consumers—mothers, families, and local communities. The company has built a robust ecosystem and network of over 10 million parents in Southeast Asia, more than 6,000 online communities, and more than 250 consumer brands as its clients, including multinational companies like AIA, Kimberly Clark, Abbott Laboratories, Unilever, local giants like Mandiri, Indofood, and Wings Group.
Participating in this investment, Founder and Managing Partner of AC Ventures, Adrian Li, said, “We have seen the Supermom business in Indonesia grow significantly in the last year, with the launch of Project 1MPACT and onboarding of new agencies and brands. We are excited to be a part of their growth journey in SEA’s largest and fastest-growing market,”
Supermom has demonstrated its contribution to providing families with insights into lifestyle and consumption choices. It also creates income-earning opportunities for mothers in exchange for their insights and user-generated content and helps foster connections among like-minded parents. The startup aims to engage about 20% to 30% of Southeast Asia’s parenting community in the next five to ten years.
“We are thrilled to partner with Supermom as they build the largest AI-driven data platform in SEA, connecting brands and consumers. At Granite Asia, we believe in supporting companies that positively impact communities, and Supermom’s vision of empowering parents across SEA to live better and smarter aligns with our values. We look forward to helping accelerate their growth and expand their reach across the region,” Jenny Lee, Managing Partner of Granite Asia, affirmed.
