Heaptalk, Jakarta – Zi.Care, an Indonesia-based startup healthtech, announced that the firm had raised a total of US$500 thousand for the initial funding. The support was boosted by Iterative Capital and Telkomsel Innovation Centre (Tinc), and also followed by Choco-up, revenue-based financing (RBF) platform. The funding was a privilege obtained by the Company after successfully being selected as the participant in Iterative accelerator program. Prior to this financing, in 2019, Zi.Care has closed undisclosed funding from its strategic investment with LiMA Venture.
Zi.Care was a web-based health information system established as a solution for Indonesia’s health facility providers, from the first lever or high. The system brought by Zi.Care was designed to enhance health worker’s optimization and efficiency in every health facility. In running its system, the Company stated that their technology was assisted by health experts and medical specialists. The system also is claimed can reduce the risk of making a mistake when performing medical treatment.
Embarking its milestone, Zi.Care was formed by three high-portfolio entrepreneurs, namely Jessy Abdurrahman, Sanjaya Mayluddin, and Jodi Susanto. At that time, the three key persons of the startup perceived that the opportunity in the health sector was wide open, particularly after watching the Government’s commitment that consistently provides health guarantees for Indonesian.
In composing the Company’s organizational structure, Jessy was appointed as the CEO by considering his ten years of incredible experiences in producing hospital information systems for several major infirmaries, such as Fatmawati Hospital, Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, and Persahabatan Hospital.
Under Jessy’s skillful hands, an entity founded in 2017 has grown rapidly, proven by its services that has been employed by more than 80 hospitals across Indonesia. By adopting two business models, namely business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-business-to-customers (B2B2C), Zi.Care has delivered a system that enables the hospital to digitalize their services.
Some services covered by the Company include electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health records that assist the process of administration, claim management, and clinical support. The Company that is never satisfied to emerge innovation now is developing an application concerning individual health records and health passports.
Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Zi.Care Jodi Susanto mentioned that to enable health workers span multiples patients, the Company has launched Sehatpedia apps that were formed with the support of the Ministry of Health.
In addition to this partnership, the last December 2020, Zi.Care also has managed to cooperate with Lifetrack Medical Systems, a Singaporean healthtech company which created software radiology information xystem and picture archiving and communication system.
In terms of its action in the country, Zi.Care has collaborated with Mandiri Syariah to launch an e-hospital, a platform that helps health facility providers experiencing a funding crisis due to the delay of a Health Care and Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan)’s invoice.
