Based on data from the Indonesian Telemedicine Alliance (Atensi), around 17.9 million health consulting activities will come from 19 telemedicine companies in 2022, which indicates that digital technology plays a crucial role in Indonesia’s health industry progress.
As delivered by the President Director of Astra International, Djony Buarto Tjondro, he revealed that the high demand for access to quality health services has driven the digital technology adoption in health services. Furthermore, he considered Indonesia’s health sector continues to perform promising growth prospects in the long term, along with the government’s efforts to advance the health sector in the archipelago.
Moreover, based on Statista data, the digital health industry is projected to reach US$3.97 billion in 2027, with a CAGR growth of 15% from a market value of US$1.98 billion in 2022. With this promise, Astra hopes to contribute and take advantage of this potential by continuously improving its digital competence and becoming an organization that adheres to sustainability principles.
