Global Youth Diplomacy: 1,200 Delegates Convene for the 20th AYIMUN in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – The Malaysian capital recently served as the epicenter for the next generation of global leadership as the 20th Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) officially convened. Hosting 1,200 delegates from over 30 nations, the conference solidified its standing as the most influential Model United Nations simulation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Organized by the International Global Network (IGN), the 20th edition of AYIMUN serves as a strategic incubator for aspiring world leaders. The forum provides a sophisticated platform for youth to hone critical thinking, international negotiation, and public diplomacy skills on a global scale.

Inclusivity and Cross-Cultural Collaboration

Over the past decade, IGN has established a robust ecosystem for global education. In this milestone 20th edition, inclusivity remained the central pillar. Delegates from diverse academic and national backgrounds engaged in rigorous debate across various councils, mirroring the official structure of the United Nations.

Key thematic areas addressed during the committee sessions included:

International Recognition and Competency Standards

Participation in AYIMUN has gained significant strategic value within the academic community. For Indonesian participants, the experience is recognized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

This institutional endorsement underscores that the diplomatic and organizational competencies gained through the MUN forum are formally acknowledged as high-level student achievements. Furthermore, the organizers maintained a strictly inclusive and supportive environment to ensure a meaningful cross-cultural learning experience for all participants.

Expanding Global Education: Seoul and Bangkok 2026

The success of the Kuala Lumpur summit serves as a catalyst for IGN’s continued expansion of global education initiatives. As part of its long-term commitment to youth empowerment, the organization has officially released the schedule for its upcoming 2026 international conferences:
