Heaptalk, Jakarta — First Care Clinic opened a health service facility in South Jakarta on June 2023 targeting the female and children segments as an effort to educate the importance of preventive rather than curative measures.

The opening of this clinic aims to provide health assistance to Indonesian women from childhood to the elderly, supported by expert medical personnel and superior health service facilities. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Every patient in Indonesia has to make many sacrifices when sick, one of which is higher medical costs,” said the CEO of First Care Clinic Pasha Pernanda Fauzi during a media interview in Jakarta (10/11).

In more detail, Pasha mentioned main health services provided by First Care include obstetrics and gynecology (ob-gyn), cervical cancer prevention, and pediatrics. Available facilities include ob-gyn room, pediatrics room, ultrasonography, playground, lounge, and backyard.

“Our clinic carries the concept of a homey atmosphere with staff service that prioritizes hospitality. We hope that patients can feel the experience of receiving medical care at home supported by experienced doctors and qualified equipment,” said Pasha.

Aiming to open a new branch in Jakarta

Currently, the clinic has 5 specialist doctors, consisting of 3 ob-gyn doctors and 2 pediatricians. Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist and co-founder of First Care Clinic, Dr. dr. Fitriyadi Kusuma, Sp.OG (K) said that cervical cancer prevention services that can be provided at First Care include pap smears, colposcopy, and cervical biopsy.

“One of the preventive measures for cancer is screening. Cervical cancer symptoms only appear after stage 3B. In the early stages, sometimes there are no symptoms at all. Thus, the preventive action that women can take is screening,” said dr. Fitri in Jakarta (10/11).

Pasha said that First Care Clinic plans to add expert doctors and non-medical staff to serve more patients. In addition, the clinic also targets opening a new branch soon in Jakarta. In the midst of many similar health service providers, First Care Clinic opens opportunities for collaboration with diverse parties to educate and campaign for reproductive health, especially for women.

“We will add more doctors, both ob-gyn and pediatricians. We also want to increase our non-medical staff so we can serve more women. After that, we plan to open more branches to be able to reach more women,” Pasha concluded.
