Heaptalk, Jakarta — PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) is once again participating in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, from July 18 to 28th, 2024, at Hall 2C, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City, Tangerang.
Delivering the opening remarks at Isuzu’s booth on Wednesday (July 17), President Director of PT IAMI, Yusak Kristian, introduced the range of vehicles showcased at GIIAS 2024.
“Firstly, we introduce the the Giga FVM-U. The Giga FVM-U is one of the vehicles in collaboration with Moda, providing the best logistics transportation solution in its class. This medium truck segment vehicle comes with a new feature, Air Seat Suspension, which enhances driver comfort during the journey,” he explained.
According to Yusak, the new Isuzu Giga FVM-U also exemplifies the robustness needed to transport various goods. It can be up to 9.8 meters long (cabin to end) and has a maximum payload capacity of 19 tons.
“The Isuzu Giga FVM U Box is also environmentally friendly because its Common Rail 6HK1 engine is equipped with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), making its emissions meet EURO 4 standards,” he added.
Furthermore, this automotive brand also showcases the Isuzu Traga, which is known for its reliability and high functionality in meeting the needs of Isuzu partners.
“This time, the Isuzu Traga comes with the Traga Bus model, designed as a solution for passenger transportation businesses,” said Yusak.
On this occasion, Yusak also introduced the ELF NPS, which collaborates with Brimob and is applied as a water treatment vehicle. “This unit comes with a 4×4 drive system, making it suitable for special vehicle applications such as those used by Brimob in extreme and muddy areas.”
At GIIAS 2024, Yusak introduced the Isuzu D-MAX SC 2024 as a rugged single pickup with a new, bolder look. “The Isuzu MU-X 2024 has also been updated to create a sportier and tougher Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) with a new exterior look, a fresher interior ambiance, and additional modern features for passenger comfort and safety during the journey,” said Yusak.
In his remarks, Yusak also introduced the well-known durable Isuzu ELF Series, which is now starting to showcase Isuzu’s electric vehicles.
“PT IAMI is specifically showcasing the Isuzu ELF EV prototype, which is 100 percent powered by electric energy and environmentally friendly,” he said.
The innovation doesn’t stop there. Isuzu and Astra Otoparts, which already have the Astra Otopower network of Battery-Based Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (KBLBB), have developed the Isuzu ELF Mobile EV Charger Concept Astra Otopower, positioned as a Mobile Charging Station. The Isuzu ELF Mobile EV Charger Concept Astra Otopower can provide a charging station solution in locations not yet covered by Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) and solutions for temporary venues or Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA).
